In Memoriam: Abang

Abang

Abang (elder brother) was my neighbour cat. He was known as the 'village gangster' of my housing area. Abang died early this year because of sickness (maybe STD) and his body was buried under the hibiscus tree on the park in front of my house.

He was known to terrorise the neighbourhood cats including mine since 2004. Other male cats in the neighbourhood did not dare to come near our houses or there will be a bloody fight. All the kittens that born in this area during his reign somehow looked like him. I cannot count the number of time he peed in my house. You can say that he was not my favourite.

I was looking at old pictures and saw a picture of him perching on my window looking at my cats wondering why they did not want to have anything to do with him.

The brave one die young.

About Yin and Yang

I am always a believer of the yin and yang, the good and bad, to ensure balance in the cosmic force. That is why when I went food shopping today in Siam Paragon; I make certain that the balance is met.

Platinum... Pratu Nam...

According to Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia, Platinum Mall is a Fashion Mall. Why the hell did I end up inside the Mall on this side of Pratu Nam on a Saturday afternoon?

The answer is "I had a dream". A dream that somehow, someday, I also can be fashionable. After a couple of hours of fishing with no catch, I dug an imaginary hole and buried my dream 6 feet down, and settle myself with two white t-shirts. They will never be out of fashion.

I am sorry Bill Watterson, I know you are against merchandising your comic but I cannot help myself. The other is all about Kenny and his deaths.

No of dream buried = 1.

The Tales of Two Figurines

One nice sunny day this nice Thai man

went to a gardening shop and saw these cute little garden figurines.

He bought that middle one, wrapped and boxed it for travelling.

The figurines when for a flying trips and when it's reached the destination they were separated into 4 parts.
The moral of the story, how bad your day is keep on smiling.
Good news is the heads are back on the bodies.

Been there : Ayutthaya

If you like ruins and decapitated statues, Ayutthaya is the place to be. After months of planning and cancelling and planning and cancelling and planning, a few friends and I made it to Ayutthaya. Two hours away from Bangkok and you can have this view:

and we end it all with a sunset on the bank of Chao Phraya River.

All in all it was a good day.

Changing Little World

Our little world has been changing without me noticing it. Now and then we should always look around us and take stock on what happening; such as that Thai house that I reported in my "Amazing Bangkok" story on July 21, 2007.

This is the before picture.

This is how its look now when I look at it today.

The pond beside the house is covered now and some of the trees are gone. It did not look as green as it was before. While I was watching, a little lorry came in with more stones to cover the x-pond.

Amazing Bangkok

Today is my laundry day and I underestimated the time needed for my cloth to dry in the dryer. For that I have to pay with multiple shows of undies in my apartment for a few hours.



For that, you guys have to view them as well :)

I have been in Bangkok for more than 3 months; still I can find things that amaze me about Bangkok. Like this Thai house (in red box) next to the apartment that I stay.

Between all the modern buildings, this Thai house is still standing complete with small orchard of banana, coconut, mango and a 'klong' (pond) at the back of the house.

I hope this house will still be around if I come back in 10 years time.

Made in Thailand

Thailand is great. The people that I met and worked with so far are nice, friendly and very helpful. (Nan you can stop smiling or I will put your crazy woman picture in here). Some of them blue like the one below that I met in the Grand Palace.

He is blue, but do not worry. He has a lot of friends to help him.

There are a lot of statues in Bangkok. I have a lot of pictures for my blog. The only thing that I don't have now is idea on how to show them. I have to be careful on which statue I can make fun off. Thai people might not like it.

Coming Back

It has been a few months since I last blogged. I am plain lazy, just like the old man in SH4 told me when I took my sweet time to climb that little hill 2 weeks ago. Did I suffer that day? Yes I did.

I have been busy for the last couple of month working on a hush hush project that could change the way people think in the next few months - I hope. A wise man said to me last month that we should make our objective to save people lives but my boss said money is the objective. I like the 1st one instead - more romantic.

Since I did not have live for the last couple of month, I only have chance to take pictures of my beloved cats. Yes, I have cats. 4 cats. 1 male and 3 female cat.

Here they are in their favourite spot. It’s all started with one cat name Putput, the one on the right. She gave birth to 3 kittens in November 2004. The hidden cat on the left is Mok. Only 2 of them named. I am still thinking of name for the other 2. For now I call them Nownow.

Cats just silly. That is why I like them.

Back Home

Back home for the last 2 weeks with lots of pictures that I can manipulate, but busy and lazy right now. My life is messy at this moment. Need another weekend to clear things up. Hopefully next week everything will be cleared.

Going crazy

Still in Sydney and I am going crazy now. Check out how crazy I look.

I have a bunch of this kind of pictures cause I am bored out of my mind. This happen last weekend cause I have to sit in the hotel to complete some work.I am also gaining weight cause I been eating unhealthy food late every night.

Salmon & Lobster

It’s been raining in Sydney last week. Cold and windy as well. Brrrr...... It’s nice in a way to walk in the rain. On Saturday I went to the fish market, again, for seafood. Was thinking of 1/2 dozen of oyster but when I got there, ate Salmon and Lobster instead. Pricy. Planned to work on Sunday, but spent most of the time watching television. After 1/2 day of doing that, I went and visit Parramatta instead.

The ferry ride to Parramatta from Circular Key to Parramatta River was interesting. Parramatta itself not that interesting, except for a bead shop on Church Street. So many choices of colourful beads. Took the train back to Circular Key. First time in train in Sydney.

Today in a public holiday - bank holiday. Plan to work in the office, maybe I can get something done.

You can find the pointing guy and the guy in the middle in Hyde Park. The porky friend (good luck if you rub on his nose) is in front of the Sydney Hospital.

Opera night

Flu fade away and work waiting for me. Manage to catched an opera (Pirates of Penzance) in Sydney Opera House tonight. IN SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE!!!!! It was an experience that I hope I will never forget. Alzheimer.... don't come near. This is my first opera ever and its not a typical serious opera - funny and entertaining. I took my camera with me but no battery. Hahaha!!!!

I was sitting next to a Muslim girl that look like Pakistani from Zurich and a Chinese guy from Brazil. The world need no border, except for the threesome below in Hyde Park.

Flu flu go away

I have been having flu since before I left for Sydney and today was the worst. I took 4 flu pills and slept most of the day.

I did managed to visit Paddy Market yesterday and got picture of this squeezed Koala. I name this Koala with an original, one of a kind name. Mr. Koala.

Sorry mate, cannot help you this time. Maybe next time.

OZ land

Two things happen since my last blog and today. First, I got myself a digital camera. Second, I am back in Sydney since yesterday until I don't know when.
