Lost and Found

I lost nearly all of my 2006 Australia trip's photos with the death of my 120GB harddisk in September 2007. Recently one picture turned up when Kim return a photo that I had printed out for her in 2006 and sticked it on my cubicle (Yes, I am stuck in the stupid cubicle :( ) wall. It is one of my favourite photo.

I took a snap with my mobile camera and post it for below. It is not a good quality picture, but it is better than none. Thanks Kim.

Disappointed

Yesterday was the Police's Meet Customer cum Crime Prevention Campaign cum Rakan Cop (Cop friend) Day at my office area. Email when out from the organiser with list of events plan for the day. I was looking forward for the Special Demonstration by the K-9 Unit and the Bomb Demolition Demonstration, two of the events that was scheduled after 2pm.

I walked around the exhibition during lunch looking at the vehicles (I missed the helicopter),
the weapons - guns (now I know how a glock look like),
shotguns,
submachine guns,
mortars and mortars bomb.
I did not know there are many types of handcuffs.
After that I went back to the office before the K-9 and bomb demolition events. Near the time of the events, I look out at the window and found that they already pack up to go. No more show. Maybe because there was not much 'customer' turn up.

What a disappointment.

The Wild Around Us

If we open our eyes wide enough, we should be able to see the wildlife around us. Even at the back of our house, like what I found behind mine.
Around the bananas, the orange (or lime) and the papaya trees, I found the fascinating caterpillars. From the baby caterpillar,
to the juvenile caterpillar,
to the adult caterpillar
and a caterpillar that had enough
that transformed itself into a pupa.
I saw the equally intriguing grasshoppers even while it's chomping on the leaves off my plants.
If we open our eyes just wide enough, we should be able to witness the wonderful and magical occurrences around us.

The Cleaning Lady

Yesterday when I open the front door of my house I was presented with this mess in the living room.
My cats have pushed down a box of recycle paper from the dinner table and were having a party with it. I interrogated them to tell me which one of the 3 of them that did it, but not a meow coming out from their lips. Luckily I already called a cleaning lady to come and clean up my house today.

This morning I waited and waited for the cleaning lady, but she did not call or turn up. After waiting for a few hours, I got pissed off and become the cleaning lady myself. I cleaned my house from top to bottom until it shine like the moonlight bouncing on a bald head. I am happy and saved RM50.

Its Working

The small New Year resolutions that I set up is working. Today is 3rd of January and I already completed small resolution no 1.

1. Fix the light at the back of the house. The light has been out for the last 6 months.

The light is so bright that it light up my banana trees.

The magic is the completion of small resolution no. 1 makes me so happy.

Welcome to 2008

Happy New Year 2008 to all. I wish for everyone healthy, happy and prosperous years ahead.

As of all the previous New Year celebrations, New Year resolution is a must. I found that my previous New Year resolution was always unachieved. This made me unhappy each time the New Year approached. Why this happen is because I only make big resolutions – the standard thinner, richer, happier resolutions.

Therefore this year resolution I will make list of big and small resolutions. At least if the big resolutions unachieved, I still can achieve small resolutions that will make me happier when next New Year approach.

My small New Year resolutions are:
1. Fix the light at the back of the house. The light has been out for the last 6 months.

2. Change the grass on my front lawn and make my garden more pleasing.

3. Fix my cat scratching post.

4. Fix my car. My car has more scratch than my cat scratching post.
5. Wash my car at least 1 time every 3 months. I usually wash my car less than 4 times a year.

*This list will grow as 2008.
