A Visit - Part 1 : Genting

Nan, Rose and Jean came over for a visit in April. I took them around 'town' using my old fatefull Satria. I took them around Kuala Lumpur, to Genting Higland and Pangkor.

First stop - Genting Highland. It was a surprised to some people that my car can climbed up the hill to Genting. Do not underestimate my old fatefull.

The View from the top... errr.... from the room
Outdoor theme park... from the outside .... we enjoyed our sleep more
One of Jean's fav spot... she got the luck, I got the banned.

One the way down, we stopped by

the little lily parkand the big pot in front of a shop that sell a lot of products from Thailand. Nan and Rose was not impressed. Luckily the bug saved the day

We also visited

the Chin Swee Caves Temple
with the 9 tiers
below the resort
perch over a cliff
where Nan and Rose paid their respect.

Next stop - Pangkor.

Poor Birds

As I walked toward the office this morning I saw a man on a back hoe driving away. He just completed pulling out two medium size trees.

As I walked toward where the trees fell, I nearly step on 3 bird chicks on the ground. It seems the newly hatched chicks has fallen from a nest on one of the felled tree. 1 of the chick is dead. I feel so sad for the chicks that I just stand there, don't know what to do. The chicks' parent (2 crows) was on top of the trees around that area making noises.

I did not want people to step on the chicks, so I decided to moved them away from the walk ways. As I walk away from the chicks, I knew that I left them to dead. I wish I did more :(

Petrol Oh! Diesel Oh! Electricity

Officially the price of petrol, diesel and electricity when up 1 minute ago at the time I have started writing this blog. The price hikes for all those products will have impact to my life directly or indirectly. Directly are the petrol (from 1.92 to 2.70 - 40% hike) and electricity (18% hike) since I need them for my car and house. Indirectly the diesel price. Somehow I know I am at the loosing end.

On the way back from office last night I had to pass about 8 petrol stations and all of them overflowed with vehicles trying to get the last 'cheap petrol'. I could not join the fun because I just filled up the tank of my car yesterday morning and I don't think I want to add anger or headache on the list of bad things that happen today.

With the bad news, the government also announced a 'good' news. The good news was that private car owner with vehicle up to 2000 cc (I am in this category) will get RM625 annual cash rebate from fuel subsidy. The payment will be made by Money Order upon renewal of road tax. Fortunately my car road tax renewal is next month. Unfortunately I am still at the loosing end because the RM625 annual = RM52.08 a month. Why? With the hike I have to spend an additional RM48 a week = RM192 a month. I still need to top up my petrol monthly by at least RM139.92 a month. And I have yet to calculate the electricity..... Arrggghhhhhhh!!!!

I AM CRYING INSIDE..... Huuuuu Huuuu Huuuuu!!!!

Luckily I still have this picture to make me happy.

I can feel the smile cracking up now.

Busy and Books

I am so busy and tired lately that I have no time to update the blog.

Instead of updating the blog when I have the chance, I have created a new blog that I name Pygmy's Library . I have created the blog because I have books that just idling in the house. Most I have read, some I have not.

Currently the blog only have 1 fictional book listed. When I have time I will fill up the list.
