A Visit - Part 3 : Kuala Lumpur

Back from Pangkor Island and on their last day, I drove Nan and Rose around the city for the last time. This also gave me chance to take a few pictures of the city.

We visited the KL Tower

with and without the famous 100 years old Jelutong tree.
We went up the top for a view - toward Mara Building
toward Twin Tower
toward Berjaya Times Square
toward Maybank Tower

We also visited KLCC for a close up
And Petaling Street, and Central Market, and 1st time in my life - Istana Negara.
Then I dropped them off at the LCCT for their flight back to Bangkok.

The highland, the sea and the city - a Malaysia's experience.

A Visit - Part 2 : Pangkor

Down the highland, we said bye bye to Jean as she made her way back to the island nation of Singapore and off we went to our next adventure - Pangkor Island.

On the way, we stopped by Kellie's Castle near Batu Gajah, Perak. Nan and I went in for a visit while Rose stayed outside. No idea why. Could be caused by the stories of the owner still walk the ground around and inside the mansion. Spooky.

We walked down the corridor

Peeped up (Nan) and down (me) the elevator shute

Climbed up to the roof for the view from the top

and we walked the ground for a visit with the bear in the tree

We proceeded on our journey driving up to Lumut for the ferry ride to Pangkor Island. We stayed in Sea View Hotel which is correctly name with the sea view from Pasir Bogak beach. This is my second visit to the island and this hotel.
Pantai Pasir Bogak

Apart from the sea, sand and surf directly in front of the hotel, it also famous for the bird. Not that kind of 'bird'. The hornbill kind of bird.
Hornbill on the sign board
on the wire
on the fence
on the metal bar that hold the light
on the bougainvillea
on the floor
on the table eating the mellon (check out the forlorn looking pigeon on fence, second class bird)
on the chair
and where hornbill ought to be - on a tree
We had enough of the birds, so we soak our feets in the water (my official sign of holiday)

Wrote Rose name on the sand

and watch the sunset
until the sun left us
It was nice for me. Not sure if it was nice for Nan and Rose.
Next stop - KL (if I can find where I kept the pictures)
