Lets Bowl Part Deux

After playing for a couple of months with my new shiny reactive ball, I am still sucks.


My average now is in the 80s. The score above show my best score last weekend which was 98, but checkout JMJ score on top. She scored an impressive 210. I AM SOOOOO JEALOUS.

When people asked me why I do not eat pork or any by-product from pig, my answer will always be because I am a Muslim and Islam prohibited the consumption of swine-flesh. When they asked me why Islam prohibited the consumption, I will give some vague answers from historical point of view or health point of view. Those answers, as listed below, were conveyed to me by many people during the course of my life.

1. Muslim did not eat pig because pig is dirty. Pig will eat anything and therefore unclean. We should not eat unclean things.
2. Muslim did not eat pig because pig was created from the spit of devil. Devil is bad; therefore anything that came from devil is as bad.
3. Muslim did not eat pig because during the Flood of Prophet Noah time, pigs were one of the animals in the Ark. The pigs were naughty and went around having sex with other animal even when it was prohibited by Prophet Noah. Because of that Prophet Noah declared that pigs or any animal that related to pig are unclean.
4. Muslim did not eat pig because pig is dirty. Pig was created as a shit cleaner in Noah Ark - they eat animals shit.
5. Muslim did not eat pig is because pig contain flatworm, a parasite, that hard to kill even when you cook it. Especially if the pig is an old pig. This parasite can be transferred into human.

The truth is, I am not 100% sure about Islam prohibition on eating pig until recently when I read a few articles explaining the reason why. This site in Islamic-World.Net gives a good description why porky is a no no.

For those people that I gave wrong answers all this while, I am sorry :(
